In a tragic incident in Malaysia`s Shah Alam district, five Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested in connection with the murder of a fellow countryman.
Among the arrested individuals, two are women, and they have all been placed under a seven-day remand.
According to a report from local media outlet The Sun, the victim was a 45-year-old Bangladeshi man who worked as a supervisor at a grocery store.
He was brutally attacked right outside the store, suffering multiple injuries to his head, body, and hands, which police confirmed were caused by a sharp weapon.
Authorities revealed that the incident occurred after a heated argument over wages between the supervisor and one of his employees.
The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, ultimately leading to the supervisor being stabbed.
Local official Mohammad Ikbal Ibrahim stated, "There were no prior cases against the arrested individuals. They have been remanded until February 21."
The case continues to develop, and investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the situation.
